This is a wonderful trail if you enjoy getting off the beaten path a bit. Not every trail needs to be a highway. The trail is only sporadically marked and lightly trafficked -- both big pluses. Lots of beautiful views across the marsh, interesting plant species and impressive hemlocks. The woods are open and you are going around the marsh so getting lost is impossible. There are a few wet spots. At the northeast corner you will interesect a much more heavily marked but unused DEC trail which heads off to the north. We followed it for a while and it is nice but we do not know where it goes. Enjoy!

Ok, let's start with the good points. The views where nice. And that's it. Ok now the bad. The trail was not marked very well, if at all. Thank god, I used my phone and someone else had posted the way they went. A lot of it was trail blazing and bush whacking. Now it is not a full loop. You get to the end and you have to walk back the way you came. Or you can trail blaze, and bush whacking your way to the road. If the trail was marked better, and it was a full loop, this would be a nice trail.
