HikingBlowdownGreat!

Trying to find different trails in lower elevations while the mountains are drying out. This was a fantastic little trail out to the lake. We were the only ones out there for the 20 minutes of hiking and hour of sitting by the lake.

HikingGreat!

Did this on a whim on my way back home from one of the firetower trails that was full of maskless people not adhering to social distancing rules- this trail was such a breath of fresh air! (Literally!) So peaceful- allowed me to leave the Adirondacks feeling as one should-fulfilled and content!

Beautiful easy well marked trail. The lake was like glass. Not heavily trafficked so you can spend some time

The first path to the lake has a great primitive picnic area. The second path to the lake is much smaller.

A quick trail to catch on the way out of Old Forge. Trail was dry and easy. Many small toads were scurrying off the trail. End of the trail was met with a nice view of the pond. I tend to attract horseflies and they didn’t let me down today. Bug spray might have helped but we left that in the car. A short hike leaving the ADK that didn’t disappoint.

Quick easy hike to a nice lake view. The spot at the end of the trail is nice to sit and relax for a minute if nobody else is on the trail. We went off the trail for a bit for a more private spot and walked through a ground wasp nest, so try to stay on the trail.

Really nice trail. Bugs were few and far between, luckily. The lake is beautiful and I sat at the lean to for about an hour just soaking up the views. Highly recommend!

This was a nice short hike. Not much room once you reach the lake-but the view is beautiful!

Had some difficulty finding trail head. Ignore the DEC trail sign near the gravel road...trail head is on opposite side of parking area. Trail is marked with red trail markers. About .3 miles in the trail forks- the marked trail is to the right. I really enjoyed the pristine lake at the end. It’s a short enough trail I would come back frequently just to meditate by the water

Great short trail to an amazing view, there was only one tree blown down and it was easy to maneuver through. Would be a great walk for a dog.
