Beautiful view and hike. You get to go around a beaver dam which gives you a chance to see some pretty cool wildlife. Make sure you grab a brochure/map on the way in, as the junction between the orange, yellow, and red trails can get pretty confusing due to some of the markers being on trees that have fallen. Otherwise, very good hike with only a few steep inclines. Took my 9 year old lab and had no problems with him (other than doing our best to keep him from jumping into the beaver pond), dog friendly!

The full loop to the lake view, around the rookery and to the ridge was about 3.5 miles. The red trail is steep at the end. Took us about 2 hours, stopping to take a bunch of pictures.
