Love this place! It can be hard to do without getting your feet wet but can be done. Summer time afternoons tend to get packed fast here!

Nice, quick in & out walk(1.1 mile).Busier than some of the other local hiking spots. Better to walk the creek bed, shoes will get wet anyways. Also, ropes at both falls. Access to rim trail from there(nothing of interest). The hike is the creek bed!

Best approach...cross the bridge and get into the creek at the second picnic table. Creek walk. So pretty here and such a prize at the end!

I visited Grime's Glen on a day after it had been raining for a week so the falls and the creek were full. Once you cross the bridge you think that you're in for an easy walk because it's so flat. About half way to the falls the trail starts climbing the side of a hill where, if muddy, it is very slippery. Eventually the trail leads to the side of the falls and is blocked by a few trees. Here is what I would recommend: Wear old sneakers. Cross the bridge and walk toward the falls then, when it starts going up hill, cross the creek to the opposite side where it remains flat all the way to the falls. To get the best photos you'll need to stand in the creek bed near the base of the falls.

Fun to hike through if you are prepared to get at least your feet wet and your boots muddy. Quite a few trees were down when I went. Probably the reason I got my shoes soaked. The falls were quite nice. A few picnic tables were along the way.

I didn't walk here from ADK like the track says... but it was a great hike. Challenging in spots because it is slippery - we blazed a path somewhere beyond the last waterfall. Be prepared to get wet!

beautiful hike.
one quick point, be careful if hiking after heavy rains since it gets quite slippery and treacherous...not much to grab into at times but well worth it...
some signage or paint might help as well, since the ground gets washed out after heavy rains it's hard to see where the trail is at times.
beautiful regardless

Beautiful short hike along the creek. Suggest sturdy shows you can get wet, so you can just walk up the creek. Make sure to go past the 1st falls to get to the second falls and swim hole.
