Nice walk, wide trails, may of which are actually roads. Went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy.

HikingGreat!

Wide track trails, easy to follow with a picture of the trail map or the app. Trail mostly rock or gravel, some good hills to get the heart pumping. To get miles, you will need to cover as many trails as possible, so some pre-planning is good. Beautiful family focused park with a lake, boating and fishing. Primitive and RV/5th wheel camping available. This is a prime example of an incredible park structure being under utilized during Covid. 2 hours of hiking, met 2 hikers coming towards me, one family doing the loop around the lake, I came up behind at the end of my hike.

Beautiful easy hike. Trails are well maintained and marked. Started at the parking lot and did Lake, Creek, Pathfinder, Woodland, Pine Ridge and Evergreen counter clockwise atriums the lake. Completely deserted. Saw a scarlet tanager, oven bird, chipping sparrow, blue jay and heard many others .

Wonderful hiking trail that’s part intermediate (though the incline is not steep) and easy if you hike the entire loop. Park car in main parking lot (at Greenwood Entrance Sign) and walk toward the park office. Just passed it (with the lake on your right) is the entrance to the trail. You’ll see a map of the park a the beginning. The trail takes you into the hill behind the lake. It’s highly shaded so it’s a great hike at mid morning or afternoon. You’ll feel immersed in the forest ecosystem with the sound of different bird species and smell of the greens and wildflowers in bloom. You’ll enjoy seeing the lake between the trees until the buds on trees bloom. Recommend hiking shoes and cap for some nats. Enjoy!

I’ve been walking the Greenwood trails several times a year since 1978! It is a peaceful spot, the trails are well maintained. There are several loop options, the shortest being a little over a mile on which I often am the only person. The longer loops are even less used. Although rated moderate, it is really easy, unless you do all the trails in one day.

Great park. Well maintained trails, perfect for a jogging stroller if you've got multiple little ones. There is a small play area with slides and a couple of swings too. Really enjoyed walking here & will be going again.

First to Review

My husband and I have walked this trail a few times in Spring and Summer. It is a beautiful trail. Some areas are more challenging than others but it is worth the effort. We have not yet gone cross country skiing.
