Green Lakes State Park offers a number of short trails that can be combined to create a variety of walking experiences. This loop trail is just one of many possibilities that lets walkers see the entire park. The trail may be easily extended to the northeast and can be started from many of the park's parking lots. The trail around the lakes is the most crowded. Walking along the outer edge of the golf course avoids a road walk through the southeast portion of the park, but please be respectful of golfers and stay off the course when they're using it.

pretty decent place to walk a lot of snakes ticks an overgrown brush. The only challenging trails are the white and purple one. I do recommend downloading the map if you've never been here before all the trails pretty much intertwined with each other so you may get lost if you're not paying attention. Great place to bring your dog walking ride a bike. Brown Trail is basically a dead end it goes into a neighborhood and you have to turn around. There always a lot of mosquitoes here a lot of snakes and a lot of ticks except for in the winter you do see several do your hair so make sure you check your dogs thoroughly cuz I never come here without seven of them on him

An okay hike, not challenging in any way other than the amount of miles. The meadow area was nice with lots of trails, so one could get some miles in just staying there. Quite a few bikers on those trails. There were a few spots in the middle part of the hike where the trail had changed from the map on All Trails. Easy enough to find your way around though. Also a part of the middle section is on/next to a road.

If you are looking for a nice family day hike- I wouldn’t recommend this trail. I would say just go to the actual lake and do the trails there. The perimeter trails were nice- near the beginning and end you are in a field with a lot of wildflowers and little shade, and some overgrown paths at times. I would come back again to run or bike the beginning, it was quite nice, but if you aren’t an avid hiker I would stick to the nice lake trails Green Lakes offers.

I went out on a day were it was forecasted rain. The rain stopped early in the day but it did add to the mud. Other than that the trail is always a good time.
