Nice little gem that is underused by hikers. Some bikes but not a lot. Trails were in good condition, some were slightly overgrown but passable. Trail markers were old and need to be better marked. Some trails had no markers at all so a little confusing getting around. You can put a nice amount of miles, we did 5.3 miles and there were plenty more to do. So I will keep going back. Enjoy.

Poorly marked trails. Had to turn back multiple times. All trails isn’t marked correctly and some trails are not marked and outgrown. Wouldn’t recommend.

This is a 5 star trail for mountain biking. But for hiking, it just isn’t a viable option. Poorly marked trail junctions lead to confusion. It offered a serene and tranquil off the grid hike, but not much more to officer.

NOT great for hiking in the summer months! It is damp and hazy, the bugs are relentless and you will most likely brush up on something that will make you itch! The GPS tracking doesn’t match the trail maps so it is hard to follow a set path. Trail markers are feint. Overall this trail is just annoying on foot. The only people who might enjoy this trail are mountain bikers in the spring and fall.

Two issues: 1. Trail runs next to a highway for half the route which ruines the nature experience, 2. Mountain bikers carved ip the trails, so crazy muddy.

This is the closest to NYC that you will find such technical single-track trails. Mostly mountain bikers and hikers with an occasional group of kids there to do “who knows what,” but great training for trail running. All trails are single-track. The Blue trail primarily loops the park and the remaining trails are numbered and somewhat confusing. Not really big enough to get lost, but big enough to get in some good miles with decent elevation gain.

Hiking

On Thursday, July 13, 2017, around 3:30 pm my friend and I were hiking and our cars got broken into. The back window of my SUV was smashed in and my purse, along with my wallet was stolen. My friends side window was completely broken. 3 bags were stolen and the intruder actually crawled into her car to get a bag on the front passenger seat. Of course the police were notified and they took a report. I am sharing this because I don't want it to happen to anyone else. Please be aware of a light silver four door Chevy Colorado, four door pick up truck that was at the parking area right before we began our hike. All windows were limo dark tints.

Dull. Noisy along the highway for about half the trail. Probably fun for mountain biking only.
