Nice little hike through the woods leading to Goose Pond. Beautiful view at dusk, low impact, just a bit muddy in places.

I went with my girlfriend on 05/04/19. The bridge wash washed out but she waded across the creek and I shimmied over the remaining beam. It was a great day. There was a pair of loons on the pond and we saw a female wood duck swimming in and out of the shoreline. Two guys were camped out on the campsite on the point. Nice little pond. We took one of the boats out and fished but didn’t catch anything. We then put the boat back and headed back.

This was a beautiful and easy hike. A little muddy in places with all the recent rain and runoff but the trail was well maintained and clearly marked. Goose pond offered breathtaking views and tranquil peace. The several waterfalls alone make the hike worth it!! Bring bug spray.

This was a great hike. Very easy, crampons required due to the icy conditions on the main road. The turn off to the pond, we took them off. Arriving at the pond was so great, it was completely frozen, the sun was out, it was a beauty. Quiet, peaceful, serene.

This was a nice short hike and is 3 miles round trip including the Jeep road at the first trailhead. I would suggest not trying to drive in to the second trailhead unless you have a Jeep or a truck since their are large rocks and washed out gullets all along the way.

Beautiful, crystal clear pond, hike in is nice. You can drive in to trailhead with a vehicle that has all-wheel drive and some clearance, if you want to go to Crane Pond this way, be advised the road was flooded just past Alder Pond as of 9/13.

The waterfalls on the road in are amazing. The walk through the woods to Goose Pond was filled with gorgeous boulders covered in moss and the quiet of the woods gave one a feeling of peace. Finally, the views and tranquility of Goose Pond led me to relax and enjoy the wonders of the Adirondacks.

A nice trail going thru white pine and hemlock forest. The first 1.5 miles of the hike are on a jeep road which is open to vehicular use. You are better off driving in a little further to the actual Goose Pond trail head. From there you can hike to Goose Pond, Alder Pond and Crane Pond. The road was accessible with our Toyota Highlander. Just take it slow.
