Nature tripsGreat!

Absolutely gorgeous. One of the prettiest fire tower views I have ever seen! The stairs to the top was a little scary so I stopped about half way up but saw people who had gone all the way up and it was totally fine, you just can’t go into the cab. Knowing that it was fine, I had wished I went all the way up but even from where I was standing it was amazing with the water and a few mountains that has snow on the top. I would defiantly recommend this hike and it’s also very very easy :)

cadillac level trail maintenance. mostly a lovely, easy woods walk with a couple short steep bits. great for kids or dogs (though it would've been nice if some of them had been on leash). some muddy sections, no ice today!

Encountered snow, which wasn’t a problem, but ice. We did not switch to microspikes because it was the ice you couldn’t punch into so there was no grip. With snow and ice, 2 hours up, 2 hours down. I rated it a 3/5 only due to the weather conditions (which I know is my own fault for doing this firetower while there was snow and ice). Very cool mountain, will come back without snow and ice - would be awesome. No real steep sections just gradual incline. Fire tower is in rough shape, roof and walls are falling in. Cabin at top is cool. Trail markers - very easy to follow.

Easy hike on a nicely maintained trail. A fresh coating of snow graced the trail. Views obscured by clouds today but amazing on a clear day.

Beautiful day, morning hike and easy to moderate hike. Very few unobstructed views till the top and best views from climbing the tower. It was very windy near the top of the tower.

Loved it. Hiked on October 10 2020 with my wife. Very well marked trail you wouldn't get lost. It was a easy hike to the top.

Beautiful trail, would highly recommend. the fire tower was amazing, great views. About 4 miles up and down and just the right amount of easy vs moderate. It gets just a little steep about 1.5 miles in but comfortable again after 2 miles.

HikingGreat!

Beautiful, easy hike to the top but enough incline to make your heart pump in some areas. Views were partially obscured, but were stellar if you climbed to the first landing of the firetower. The firetower is in bad shape. Very rickety, and closer to the top the boards were feeling kind of soft under my feet. Looks like they really took a hit from climbers wearing microspikes.

The hike up is very scenic, well marked, and a decent amount of incline to get your heart rate up, but not overly challenging. The view from the top is a bit obstructed, but if you even climb just one flight up in the fire tower there is a lot to see. We arrived at 10 with 6 cars, left at 1 and there were about 20. But, short hike, good reward.

This one was always a childhood favorite, decided to do it again for the firetower challenge so i had a date. I am super sad that the barn/cabin on the way up has fallen down and the cab of the tower is falling apart and we couldn't go in it. The trail is an easy moderate and worth the views from the tower landing at least.

Got here at 5 am! Made it up just in time for first light. Was super windy but a great sunrise and just long enough for a sunrise hike!
