In the winter, weather at Niagara Falls transforms the Park into an icy wonderland. Many Park attractions close for the season, but visitors can always see awe-inspiring Niagara Falls flow to the river below as it freezes and a thick layer of ice covers every surface. There is a $5 fee to park. During winter, some of the trails closer to the water get icy and are closed for the safety of visitors.

Some of the trail was shaded, some was sun. It was mostly paved. Several beautiful views of the rapids and the water’s progression toward the falls. It was the end of Spring/early Summer so we saw a lot of squirrels and little baby geese. Make sure to visit three sisters island. The people were friendly and everyone was very respectful of social distancing.

My husband and I went in February it was frozen and beautiful. Glad we went when it was still off season. It was a once in a lifetime trip. We are from the south so it was different with the snow and ice that is treated regularly here than where we live.

I happen to visit the day after a pretty bad snow storm. Despite that lots of the trail paths were cleared and I was able to see most of this trail. Some of the featured spots were closed due to ice and snow on the ground. Bonus: observation deck was free due to the weather

This was a nice, easy, paved trail that provided great views of the falls. It was crowded, especially near the main viewpoints, but the little offshoots were less crowded and had some nice views as well.

This was a very easy walk. It was all paved. We went in October. There were several other people around, but not nearly as crowded as it is in the summer time. This is a must do if you are seeing Niagara from the American side!

Great trail that gets you close to Horseshoe Falls and gets you away from the tourists.

Took us about an hour at a leisurely pace with plenty of pictures. It costs 5$ to park. It’s very nice to see the sights of the Canada side over the water. During the winter a lot of the paths that are closer to the water are closed off due to ice. Still great overlooks

Nice earlier winter hike. They did have a lot of the walkways closed for the winter which was a bummer.

Definitely a must do walk around Goat Island/Niagara Falls State Park. All paved trails and steps/ramps (most areas ADA accessible, including by wheelchair and/or stroller) where needed to see the different falls, rivers, and smaller islands. Cost $10 to park the car, no other fees to hike around. No crowds this fall cool rainy season time of year-had a beautiful mild temp sunny day with gorgeous fall colors everywhere-yellow, oranges, reds!

Trail is located in the central area of Niagara Falls State Park. Offers a fantastic view of rapids and the falls. The trail itself has a lot of traffic, but it's Niagara Falls. Scenic and majestic views all along the trail.

Love this place. I live close to Niagara Falls, and every time I go there, I get chills just from how amazing and beautiful the falls are. The views are great from goat island. You can get so close to the falls and just hear and see how powerful they are. Definitely worth it!
