one of the most beautiful hikes we've ever been on. make sure the gorge trail is open (no frost). the north part of the trail was closed (top .5 mile). go early (8am) as it gets crowded.

From the campground btw site 188 and 189 a path to South rim trail goes east to main entrance. Only one way traffic (covid). From there its all up hill, west. explore the side overlooks. "gorge"ous!

Absolutely gorgeous! My cranky 13 year old son called it “breathtaking” as the Gorge and trail are nature at it’s finest! If you can do it, get here as you’ll not regret it!

I did this trail about 2 years ago and 4 years ago. It’s my all time favorite trail. Every turn is beautiful and the path is very well maintained. It’s as if you’re transported to another time.

The trail had a few nice views. Since it is not a very challenging hike, there are way too many people trying to hike at once. If you want to stop to take a photo at any point, be prepared to hear everyone behind you complain about waiting. The gorge is quite beautiful overall. The overcrowding definitely made a lovely trail less enjoyable.

This was a really beautiful mini-hike. The gorge is just incredible. I feel it's a fairly easy hike as long as you can handle lots of stairs. If you have bad knees, I would advise you to avoid this one. It was unfortunately very crowded and in the time of covid it was a little stressful. however, almost all people wore their mask the entire time and respected a 6foot distance. It's definitely shortened to help ensure one-way traffic, but it made us feel a lot safer on the hike. We would love to come back to do the full trail once covid is under better control/gone.

Beautiful view of the gorge and the view of the water flowing through it creating pools and waterfalls! Must do hike! One way due to Covid but still people don’t follow the rules making it difficult in narrow areas! Wear appropriate shoes since it is lot of stairs and can be wet and slippery!

Gorgeous hiking trail with several beautiful views of waterfalls, bridges and caves. It can be difficult for some as it's very slippery and there's a lot of stairs, but highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the outdoors. Dogs are also not allowed in the lower gorge trail, which makes sense as the trail can be very narrow at times.

(August 2019) Such a beautiful "hike" through the gorge. Stone path with lots of stairs provide for an easy walk. The falls along the way make for some truely amazing photos. I recommend getting there as soon as they open so you can get your photos without a bunch of other people in the background as it's a very popular place. I really enjoyed the area and was glad to finally make it there after seeing it in photos several years prior.
