not really a hike unless you qualify a walk across a bridge as a hike. very crowded with other pedestrians and bikers so stay to the right always.

Not a relaxing hike. With the bikers and walkers on the narrow walkway of the bridge, kinda gets anxiety inducing. But certainly a nice way to get some mini adrenaline rush. For lee park on the jersey side does provide nice views but nothing special

Great views! When we got to the jersey side of the bridge, we stopped at palisades interstate park to get a better view of the entire bridge and the Hudson!

Started off at 175th street into the bike path around Cabrini Blvd with road bikers whizzing by on my left. Found my way to Fort Lee Historic Park and took lots of pictures on the cliff top bluff where the Continental Army positioned its batteries over the Hudson in 1776. Locals like the road biker and the gentleman I asked for directions are so kind. From Fort Lee Historic Park, I crossed the underpass along Hudson Terrace and and found myself on the Long Path trail. I thought I was on an overlook but realized I was on a platform that goes down into the steep steps of the Carpenter’s Trail. The Carpenter’s Trail looks like it was constructed from left over building materials that came from the cliffs that line the western wall of the Hudson River on the New Jersey side. The southern end of the Shore Trail is overlooking midtown Manhattan and the Englewood Picnic area is probably parallel to mostly uptown or Harlem.

Wouldn't really call this a hike. It's a pretty straight path, great for walking or running. Not really a great place to stop on either side - maybe park at Fort Lee on the Jersey side, it's not a long walk from there. Plus you get a nice view of the bridge from Fort Lee. There are good views and the height is nice. It is a good experience to cross back and forth.

I considered not going on a Saturday because it was a beautiful day and I was afraid it would be very crowded, but it was not at all. We parked at Fort Lee in NJ which was only a few minuted from the bridge. The view was amazing as was the contrast between the giant city in the distance and the large green spaces on either city of the bridge. There is great potential to prolong the hike up or down the Hudson on the NY side.
