We hiked this today in about 2 hrs. I’d say this trail is high moderate due to a pretty steady incline that I think can catch some unprepared hikers off guard. The trail is well marked, and worn, without being too tricky to navigate or walk. The only catch is the incline that will be difficult for some moderate seeking people. The view at the top is worth it if you’re looking a good, strenuous but not overly long hike.

I would rate this moderate to hard. First mile easy 2 mile hard. Small rock face and the top but beautiful view .

Great short little hike. Great views for the distance. First half of the hike is gentle slope, and then second mile starts to ascend nicely. Map says 3.1 miles total, but total hike is about 4 miles.

Make sure you stay on the blue markers and do not go over the foot bridge! Stay to the right. I accidentally went over the foot bridge and got up onto the bear den trail (yellow markers) and went quite a ways in wrong direction. All trails when you have it loaded for Flume only shows one trail. There was a lot of patchy snow on the ground and it was hard to even see where the trails were in spots. Should’ve paid closer attention to the signs and not looked at AllTrails too much. There is a stream running down the hill between the two trails.

Had the trail to myself. Super easy jaunt and another one to cross off the ADK 29er list. The Flume is spectacular- and as the TH say- Same as it ever was.

Hiked from the KOA campground. First mile was easy, the second mile is where most of the elevation gain took place. Nice view to the east from the rock at the top.

This was a nice hike, challenging at times and a killer work out. The view was nice but not as impressive of some of the others but worth the climb all the same! I was up and back in about 2 hours.

a little bit of a scramble in some areas, pretty steep closer to peak, definitely a fun challenge

On the more difficult side of moderate, especially near the end. View at the top was great though. Although there isn’t a large area to explore - just the ledge of a boulder. Took 2 hours total including time spent at summit.

Great hike with a wonderful view at the top! It gets really steep near the end but don't stop until you're a the top,it's worth the sweating!

Great trail right in Wilmington. If you want to get all the way to the top, it's actually 4 miles round trip. I recommend the full hike as you get better exercise and good views! The whole connection of trails is great for dogs.
