The first mile and last half mile were pretty wet and muddy, and there are a fair amount of downed trees. Otherwise, a gorgeous hike with a lot of ridge walking.

Trail is wet/muddy with lots of trees down from a recent storm. Overall a nice easy hike to a beautiful lake.

It’s illegal to park on the road and we were told you can get a ticket. There is a parking lot 200 feet east from the trail head. The lot is across the street.

Trail was well marked. Lots of people camping at the lake over night. Took us about 2 hours with a few stops along the way to enjoy the views and wildflowers in bloom.

Fairly easy hike. The area is heavily trafficked, so be prepared to share the trail with a bunch of people. The lake has an active beaver dam. The area is famous for having a lot of rattle snakes, so stay alert.
