Dwass Kill Nature Preserve Orange Trail is a 0.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Clifton Park, New York that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips.

December 27, 2020Nice winter hike. Very well marked and maintained. We did the blue trail and got in about 2.5 miles. Some spots were snowy with a little ice and some spots were clear where sun hits.

August 23, 2020August 21, 2020Don’t take the fishing trail! Maybe in the early spring it’s fine, but they should rename it the “trail of stinging nettles”. The northern loop is ok. Kinda boring. (Ps. I don’t know why my phone recorded 1,400 ft elevation gain. It was more like 200’)
July 12, 2020Hiked today with my 16 year old kid. Overgrown in spots. Very very buggy today. It’s an ok hike for walking through the woods.

April 25, 2020We did this trail on March 22nd 2020 with two children ages 9 and 7 and a dog. The kids loved it. lightly traveled. Winding trail through woods, mostly sandy, no mud. there were several interesting water features and an old car chassis that attracted attention. Some elevation changes but nothing dramatic. Not a difficult hike.
April 25, 2020April 18, 2020My kids love this trail! They call it the Sonic trail because of the hills and angled turns. My kids are 9, 5 and 3 and we’re able to walk the trail the whole time. It wasn’t too long and it was nice that the main trails were pretty wide and made of sand. They also loved the bridge and little creek. Really cute, free and fun activity.
February 1, 2020Nice little hike, even in the winter. The trail splits off onto many side trails if you want to explore some more. I plan to return in the summer.
