Park in the small lot on N. Manlius Rd. Follow the purple-colored (P) trail markers.
Good mix of dirt and grass trails. Trail was well maintained and well marked. Lots of wildlife including birds, chipmunks and deer.
Entered from Manlius Rd. - saw a deer feeding on berries on the first incline - saw a pheasant walking down trail when I got to the top of incline - well maintained and marked - enormous field at top with mowed grass paths - saw the pheasant again walking up rock hill on my way back to lot - will return to do the rest of trails soon - Green Lakes is in a league of its own - small parking lot off road - got lost here years ago with my friend but found our way out - took rowboat one time with damaged oar bracket had to go back and switch rowboats - I worked there years ago
We entered the trail from my friend’s backyard and it was amazing! Not too much shade until the last stretch and we ended up getting off on Manlius Rd to pick up the canal trail! Beautiful pics/view on the hill.
