It goes off trail of the GPS, but if you keep on the red trailblazers you’ll get where ya need to go.

Half way through was told by a hunter that I’m not supposed to be out. Even though there were signs that said no hunting.

HikingGreat!

beautiful trails with lots of different scenery. I started at northern most entrance on 104 and took the left trail. Some areas were overgrown and it was hard to see some of the paths but very well marked until I came to a crossroad! No markers at all! there were 2 trails to the right and one to the left. I took the furthest right which merged with the other path and directly across was another trail. I took that one, which is the correct trail apparently. Gorgeous! I found many more paths off of it but continued forward. I took a wooded trail to the left which again was the correct one which then became well marked again. Overall it was a great hike and will definitely do it again! I just read that the park is closed from the first Sunday of January through the end of the month for shotgun hunting.

Trail was great, but a little rough in the beginning where it was pretty overgrown. Would take another way in to the loop next time.

Trail’s entrance was not marked very well and ended up walking right past the start multiple times. When actually on the trail, the trail itself wasn’t bad, save for the inclines towards the middle

Very simple and unsurprising trail. The repetitive terrain is not a negative unless you need variety. Parked on 104 closest to traffic circle. Starts paved with open, managed area then drops into pine and oak forest with shrubby undergrowth. A few gentle hills, some old signs of human works, mostly well marked until the last half mile before the paved area as I returned counter clockwise. Will repeat.

It was the pine barons. Nothing good, nothing bad. Well, maybe one good; 4.5 miles on a Sunday morning and didn’t pass one other hiker. UPDATE: DOWN A STAR. 3 hikers and we all were infested with Tick Larvae. We spent hours removing these micro buggers.

Very runnable and well marked, except for that one spot where the trees have been cleared .. left side of trail.. i ran it counterclockwise ..so it was towards the end. Started from yellow gate and finished there, i got 4.5miles.

Half of the loop (like 2 miles) is felled trees. I run this trail all the time and the tree scramble is a real pain in the buns. The other half of the trail is awesome. Disagree that it’s a hard trail to follow. Very easy, follow the red blazes. There are many dirt bike and four wheeler tracks through here, though only encountered once.

The entrance to the trail is marked but about 15 yards past where AllTrails map says it is. Continue down the road from where you will park, and look right for a patch of white sand. Above that and to the right should be a red blaze on the tree, follow these for a 4.4 mi loop.

Off trail

Not a bad hike, the beginning was rough, it seems someone is cutting trees down, very hard to see or find the trail. Also had to deal with dirt bikes on the foot trail.

I really loved this trail but there are hundreds of felled trees near the start/finish. Caught me off guard and found it hard to follow the trail while running those portions.

Forgot to end the hike after completed but standard pine barrens - great for trail running but not much visual stimulation
