Beautiful trail, many nice views. But way to many trail markers. I kept getting lost

it's a small preserve with many trails varying by great amount. the trails even include some like climbing and spectacular views from the top of the quarry where the stone came from for the kensico dam.

The trail markers were definitely a little confusing, and I agree that perhaps there were too many different colored trails.
But they are all well maintained and the preserve is lovely.
I’ve learned that mountain laurel is one of my favorite plants!

My first time ever hiking and it was a great experience. I went with a group, so that I wouldn't get lost, considering I'm brand new to hiking. It was excellent exercise and just the right amount of a challenge for me as a beginner.

Cool and interesting trail.

Went early on a Sunday morning and basically had the place to myself. Took the yellow trail to the lake and looped back. Path was a bit hard to see, which added to the adventure. Great for solitude and getting some nature time in. Not too challenging. There are some cute animals in the main office for the kiddies.

as previous comments have said, trails are marked all over the place, in total disarray - pretty easy to end up in,an entirely different area then you planned. Needs improvement, otherwise, nice park and cool quarry area.

Great hike

The quarry definitely is the main attraction, but the whole trail is very beautiful. The trails are a little poorly marked in some places, but the trail is still a lot of fun

Place was cool ... quary too! Feels like they tried to fit far too many trails (blue,red,white....four more maybe into this park. Without the AllTrails App I would have gotten lost. I may go back again to give it another chance to see the Quary with my kids but not a great experience with the trail maps provided.

Very easy trail with a small bit of climbing to get on top of the quarry. Not the best for exercise but great for looking at native plants. I don't do trail running but there are definitely a couple of trails (part of the blue trail in particular) that are pretty level and good for running.

Easy hike. View from The Quarry is nice.

Great place for a family hike with small children. Not difficult at all. Quarry was very nice. Will try again in fall when leaves are turning.

Nice walk and view except for some bugs that follows you around.

Great walk with my sons - got a little turned around on the purple trail but the quarry was really cool - will definitely be back!

Nice afternoon hike.

Nice park with a nice hike, on the easy side but still a really nice day out. Especially with a beginner hiker.

I had a great experience. Very peaceful and easy trails. I wandered off onto the unbeaten path a little bit, but it was easy to navigate around. I only saw about 4 people the entire time and was there for about 45 min to an hour so it was very quiet. The quarries were really fun for rock climbing. Definitely recommend going here.

The time when I went the water was marshy. However the visit to quarry was a good place to hike.

When looking for something close by to go to after work this seemed like a good choice. Maybe since it was a weekday we were the only ones there but we parked and walked right onto the trail. The trails were well marked on the front end most likely due to more foot traffic, and a little bit more covered up on the back loop, but regardless it is pretty straight forward and well marked. The quarry is very cool and fun if you are into a rock scrambling experience. The lake itself it a bit blocked by trees but you can take trails right along side it. Just a word to the wise, bring bug spray as the mud and low waters are swarming with mosquitoes. Overall I was very impressed and it is a beautiful preserve. Just be careful where you step because it seems like a hangout spot and broken beer bottles and glass shards are littered throughout especially in the quarry.

Many trails to explore. Hike up to the quarry for some fun scrambles and great views.

Great place. Cool views on the rocks.

Great Trail. Kind of easy but very accessible.

A small convenient park for those living in Westchester, NY. Easy trails circumnavigate the lake which is more of a wetland. If you explore off the main trails, secondary trails will lead you to an old rock quarry where stone was collected in the early 20th century for the Kensico dam. The quarry is fun for climbing rocks and viewing graffiti of hooligans long gone. The biggest disappointment about Cranberry Lake is no dogs allowed.

This is a nice, fast, easy hike. Good for when you don't have a lot of time but want to get out. The trails are well marked and maintained and there are industrial remains in parts, which I always find interesting.

not very hard, more like a nature walk. Very pretty. Beautiful surroundings. I liked the quarry. Fairly clean, not too much litter from people.
