Great little, short hike around an old cranberry bog. Very pleasant and easy. Lovely views of the water.

Pretty views

The bridge is out so consequently you need to go off main trail. Trails were not marked or maintained. Came out full of ticks. This would be a great little walk if properly maintained. Hope they get around to fixing it.

Feels very secluded and private. Beautiful in the fall. Trails easy to follow; beware of "bridge" which is in total disrepair preventing the main trail from being a loop.

Very pretty trail. Short loop around, maybe 20-30 minutes. BUT BE WARY of ticks. There are a lot of ticks on the East end of LI, Riverhead especially. Lyme's disease is very serious. Take a shower when you get home and check yourself.

A lovely easy trail, this was an actual working Cranberry Bog until the late 1950's. Suffolk County has done a great job keeping the preserve intact. Some many trees and native wildlife. When you go be sure to bring bug replant as this area at certain times of the year have a lot of mosquitoes. No pets allowed :(
