Nice walk, I would call it easy to mildly moderate. It is uphill much of the way, about 800 feet of vertical gain. We put in just over 4 miles taking the main trail up and looping back down around the reservoir. There are a lot of intersecting snowmobile and four-wheeler trails, so you can take a wrong turn if not watching the markers. Trail was hard packed snow and ice the day we went out.
