Local trail. We hike this often. Trail is wide and rocky. Not too steep and fairly short. I believe it is pretty well marked; it used to not be. We havent taken the turn to go off to the pond. There is a separate path for that. The overlook is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful view of Corinth and Hudson River, surrounding mountains.

It's fine. Like others have said, the trail marking is spotty. As of September 2020, I found the trail markings to be very poor and that was in-part because the trail network seems to be undergoing extensive work. The view is very nice, so it's worth the walk, but the hike itself is very boring.

Awesome view. Take wilson pass trail instead of going straight up Old town Road

Utilizing the Offline map definitely helped me out. There were spots along wilson trail that were hard to follow without utilizing the map within the app. Once I got out of the wilson trail, the markers were definitely getting better along the way. When you head down old town road and veer off to the western trail head, definitely utilize the map, the markings are a lot better on that part of the trail. Follow the creek down and you'll get to the reservoir. In combo with getting lost yesterday, and using the maps within the app, I was able to find my way, even though I ventured off the recommended path listed.

This trail is deceiving. The trails are not marked the best, but having read the reviews prior they were helpful. Warning: GROUND BEES galore along trails. Several in our group got stung even the dogs. The trail has a nice variety and the Reservoir feels more like a lake. Very pretty and decent hike. Follow red and pink ribbons as well as keep an eye out for rock pathways.

Good route with a good amount of variety. Like a lot of people mentioned, the trail isn't well marked, particularly in the Western Ridge Trail section. We got a bit lost in there, but GPS got us back to where we needed to be. The reservoir was beautiful and glass like and the view from the overlook was great! Did it with an 11 year old this morning.

HikingGreat!

Great little hike with a nice view of the Hudson, the town of Corinth, the little mountain range that overlooks Moreau Lake and the Green Mountains beyond. Will be a great fall hike for the foliage colors. We took the logging trail up, a steady climb. Glad I had AllTrails to follow, since the little turnoffs that are tagged with red tape are easily missed. 8/15/20 started early. Not buggy at all except for a short muddy section. Saw no one until on the way down.

Very nice trails but the bugs were very annoying. A lot of loose rocks on certain parts of the trails.

Hike this trail on 624/20. Bugs weren’t bad but it had been very dry the past couple of weeks. If I didn’t have AllTrails app I probably would have gotten lost. The trail markers are horrible in certain intersections. FYI - those red ribbons are trail markers . I minimized how much I was on the log Road and chose a longer route. I made it to the lookout which was beautiful. It’s a nice little local hike.

Took this trail in mid to late June and it was (as others stated) infested with mosquitos. There was a portion that was terribly marked and the rest was only moderately marked. The road portion of the hike was rocky and washed out. Admittedly this was probably ambitious for our group (w/ 2yo) but the conditions convinced us to only take the loop (no overlook). Seek better options.

Make sure that you have GPS. Without it we would have been way off course. The view is amazing. Buggy. The mileage and elevation gain is a bit off. We followed the route and did 4 miles total with a gain of 1100 feet of elevation.

A little hard to follow at first but then it was pretty obviously once we got to the old logging road. We were the only ones here, starting around 8:30 on a Saturday. A gentle climb almost entirely in the shade except for the overlook - which was so cool! We really loved this unique view. The bugs were ferocious on the way out (Old Town Road after the split back to the trailhead) so we picked up our pace. It was very rocky and somewhat muddy on this section only. When we got back to the parking lot, there were 5 other cars but they must have just been starting out because we hadn't passed anyone on the way down. I deducted one star simply because I don't enjoy hiking on logging roads or snowmobile trails but others may find them easier than narrow trails in the woods. Overall a quick and easy hike when you don't have much time or are saving your legs for a big hike the following day.

Like other hikers GPS is a must! The trail is poorly marked in many spots and we got turned around a few times. Otherwise a great hike with minimal other hikers and a beautiful view after a final steep incline.

Really nice trail! Plus the lake is easy and short to get to if you wanted to bring a picnic. The western leg is easy to follow while the eastern leg you will need the gps. Only steep in the final half mile up to the lookout.

So my wife and I hiked the green trail to and then red to beaver pond. Really great hike and a ton of waterfalls. Almost always something to see on this hike. Originally we wanted to go to the look out but the trail connecting the green trail was poorly marked but it made for an adventure and a great time. Can’t wait to do this one again.
