A short trail walk with a beautiful hidden pond. There are actually two ponds and a marshy area that can be enjoyed after a very small walk. Copperas Pond and Owen can be done as an "In and Out" trail or as a loop that ends at the trailhead up the road.

Awesome short hike with incredible views at the pond. Took 2 kids ages 6 & 8. They were totally fine just need to watch their steps on the rocky uphill and then coming back downhill. Not one part of flat surface. But was challenging and fun. Beautiful woods. The pond is gorgeous. Took one hour total from parking lot to parking lot.

We chose this trail to take our three young children (7, 6, 3) on because it was marked as easy. We read the other reviews and it sounded great. We quickly realized that it was not an easy trail. If you do this make sure that you wear good hiking boots and bring bug spray and water. We have done a lot of other easy trails in the area and this one was much harder. It was nice at the pond but do not expect a leisurely hike.

This is a nice little trail. It starts off with a steep climb, but levels off pretty quickly. The ponds are beautiful, the trails are very well marked and groomed well. We hiked the loop from Copperas Pond over to Owen Pond and back to our Jeep in 3 hours, and that’s with sitting at a few spots to enjoy the view and few beers. It was my first time ever hiking this trail and I was very pleased with it.

Nice little trail. Well marked. Starts off with a steep rocky incline for a 1/2 mile then levels out around the lake. Lake is beautiful with lots of little areas you can chill at. Campsite is nice. Fishing the lake is great too for Brookies, lake trout, and browns.

Easy hike to a beautiful snow-covered pond looking at Whiteface. About a half-foot of powder and was the first one to break trail. There are 2 very large trees downed, causing traffic to go way around them.

Beautiful and secluded. However, it’s not easy - maybe moderate? You’re basically going up hill on stone, and there were several loose rocks for my trek.

You definitely should go to the lean to when you reach the pond for great resting rocks, views and pond access.

Nice short trail. Marked as easy so I figured my friend with a bad knee would be okay but some areas were a little tricky with a lot of rocks.

Very nice spot, very easy trail to get to the lake (30min) and not too many bugs. The water was very warm and clear and we got there early so not a lot of people however it filled up pretty quickly in the afternoon and there are not that many spots where you can swim without having to jump (especially with young kids) then again it is august so we were not surprised. We will definately come back :)

The pond is beautiful and clean with many places to sit and be at peace. Our dog swam for hours. We got on the trail around 11 on Thursday and did not pass anyone on the way up. There was one family swimming when we got to the pond. We loaded down w bug spray, so although they were abundant, we escaped relatively unscathed. My biggest complaint is that the trail is poorly marked in many places and difficult to follow without wandering onto unofficial trails. Definitely gorgeous, but overall an average experience on the trail. (but any day on the trail is better than any day!)

Entered the trail via Owen Pond. Very private, as we were the only people on a Saturday afternoon. Great place for dogs, as our two easily were in and out of the water. Rocks and mud along the path. There were mosquitoes, but not a suprise with all the rain.
