i was so pleasantly surprised with this hike!! fun little walk through the woods and a minimal elevation gain, but you can't beat the 360 degree summit views for the amount of effort! great for beginner hikers, but still enjoyable for experienced hikers too! I did it as the last hike of my day to complete the Tupper Lake Triad.

The only reason this is getting 4 stars is because of the view. This is a tough, rough, rocky, and hilly hike. My kids (7 & 4) struggled at this as did my MIL with bad knees. It was also very buggy at the top then coming back down. The views are awesome though.

Great beginner hike but also great for all hikers. Only about 2.2 miles in total. Takes about an hour and half depending on pace. Buggy, I got bit right when I reached the top and it was excruciating pain . Wonderful views tho, very mellow compared to most. But still beautiful

Heavily trafficked trail, there were several families and dogs. A little muggy and rocky in some places, the trail to the summit is definitely steep! The dog loved it, and for someone who is out of shape, it only took and hour and 14 minutes to get to the top. The downward trek was a little dicey in some places, but I’m also afraid of heights.

Hiked 7/2. Nice day to hike. Nice trail goin up passed several people heading down the mountain. Reached the summit rather quickly and there was enough room on the summit to share with the 10-12 folks that were already up there. Great views but a little hazy to get a great look of the high peaks in the distance. Was able to watch a military plane swoop lower than the summit between Coney and Goodman. All in all a great hike. A short and easy hike that provides a beautiful 360 degree views on the summit! Did this as part of the Tupper Lake Triad, but I would come back and do this hike again in a heartbeat.

Finished the triad with my pup on this mountain on Sunday. Well marked trail with varying terrain. The summit is wide open and at 5pm the only ones on the summit with the mosquitoes. Beautiful views to enjoy on Coney! An easy hike to enjoy.

I love this trail! Low effort but amazing views. The second half of the mile is inclined but it is a very clear path and easy to walk. Very shaded as well.

Great hike and views! The trail is mostly clear of overhanging trees. Rocky for part of it with lots of tree roots. Kids liked the bridges. Scramble towards the top as it is all rock but view is worth it. Very easy hike took about an hour and a half round trip and that's with 2 4 year old boys and a snack on the summit.

Awesome trail that starts fairly gradual. More of an incline towards the top and you have a small scramble at the top. AMAZING 360* views from the top. Pretty busy trail.

One of the easiest hikes yet! It’s a real “walk in the park” a nice gentle walk thru the woods and bam your at a breathe taking bare summit. Incredible views of the high peaks on a clear day.

Great trail for beginner human hikers and moderately experienced pack goats. Amazing views on the top even when it’s overcast.

Did this hike a bit after it rained today. There was no mud and practically no bugs until we got about 5 minutes from the summit. On top of the mountain the bugs were persistent. I would recommend brining a head net.

A great short hike with an amazing 360 degree view!!! The open rock face on top allowed plenty of space to social distance. Got a good look at Mount Marcy in the distance. The trail is very easy to follow and well maintained. This is now one of my favorite hikes!!!!

Great short hike. My favorite out of the Tupper triad for sure. The 360 view from the bald mountain top was great.

phone died. but a great trail. 2.1 miles total. my phone died at 1.5 miles. we needed microspikes but some sections had to take them off because it was rocky slabs with water flowing.
