I've been walking this trail since it was opened. many improvements over the years. it is listed as a 4.2 mile loop, but there are 2 side trails off the main trail. 1- is a nice hilly 1\2 mile loop-called the Mary
Woodill trail, (recommend hiking boots, not sneakers-parts wet\muddy) 2nd is off the 'mountain trail' passed the 'high tension wire' towers-approx. 1 mile loop in length, adding to your walk for a total of almost 6 miles!
Surprising local find with nice crushed gravel multi-use trail well maintained with diversions.
This is a very nice walk. Well maintained. Quite close to a busy road on the eastern side. Mostly flat. Beware, there’s a charge for parking.
Great way to slowly gear into hiking under the shadow of beautiful trees.
It's a multi-use trail. We've jogged, walked and ridden our gravel bikes on it. Superb for cardio or just a relaxing walk. There's lots of shade for those brutally warm days. Also, they just completed another single track trail on the west side of the lake. Great spot!
I love this trail. A few hills in the beginning but mostly flat the last 2 miles. Very well maintained and clean trail.
I grew up fishing all the time on this lake. The updates and reconstruction are awesome.
I absolutely love this walk it’s a nice easy hike for my foot injury recovery
Easy trail.
This is a nice wide trail that is around Chadwick Lake in the Town of Newburgh. To enter the park, if you will be charged a nominal entrance fee. If you are a resident of the Town of Newburgh, you can purchase a yearly pass.
super safe 4.2 mile lake loop that's bike, dog, and sturdy jogging stroller friendly. It's also wide and graveled, great for avoiding ticks and snakes in summer, and every .25 mile is marked. There's a terrific playground and boat rentals at the park too. Chadwick Lake Park in Newburgh- well worth the 30 minute drive and $5 (military rate) day use fee.
It's a great trail with a park for the kids. If you don't have a parking pass you'll have to pay a fee for the day
The trail was frozen over a bit when we went in the winter so it was not the best time to take the toddler for a hike there. Also I think you may have to pay to enter the park or maybe that's just in the summer. I'd check online to be sure.
nice walk around the lake
This is a nice walk around the lake. They recently added a little easy incline, mountain hike as its called on the trail.
Easy family walk.
Well maintained gravel trail. With little to no elevation gain-loss. Great for running and daily walks.
It's close to home, it is gravel as others have said..... but it's a "go to" trail at a local park to stretch the legs and run the puppy!
The puppy and I do it just for the exercise.....young dog and old man! LOL!!!
Its an alright nature walk, and one of my favorite running trails, too bad its all gravel
