Central Park Mountain Bike Trail Loop is a 3.5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Schenectady, New York that offers the chance to see wildlife. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for mountain biking.
5.5 mile winding mountain trail through oak forest. super fun - genius design so not overlapping- not much diversity of views. I would only hike in winter because mt bikes might not see you in summer foliage. solitary hike with loads of animal prints to identify. biking is year round sport. city sounds in background
My first time hitting the entire trail. It kicked my ass. Only hit one tree. Scared a lot of wildlife. Saw a hawk up close and it’s big ass legs.
Apart from it taking me 2 hours to find out the trail is on the other side of Central Park I did this trail at night. And it was very fun and mysterious. Had a few challenges here and there but definitely fun and I'd say any/everyone should try it for a first trail. Definitely don't do it at night like me unless you have a backup flashlight as mine died.
I really liked it but the mountain biking was a little tricky but the park is very fun to ride around in or stop and play at the playground
A couple of good challenging hills with many rolling hills. Good obstacles and man made fun.
Great trail that took closer to about an a half to get through. Well marked with arrows. As far as “ease”, The trail if definitely moderate for mountain biking. Lots of roots, so be prepared to navigate a bumpy trail. Caution: Downhills with tight turns at the end.
This place is amazing !! To much fun !! Omg I just want to say to who ever made this park great job ! There are plenty different styles of trails for everyone’s experience levels no matter what I tested everyone out this park was designed very well these trails are just to much fun great work out every time and !
NOT a beginner trail for those who are not already active despite what the reviews say. 98% of this was not easy. Had to walk some of this with my bike.
I'm a beginner at mountain biking and this was a pretty fun and easy trail for me. There are many obstacles and downgrades good for a beginner or someone who is looking to get back into it. My bike isn't anything fancy and it did pretty good. Trails are well maintained. If you do stop on the trail it does get alittle buggy. I will be returning to this trail in the future.
Trails are great for beginner-moderately experienced riders. Follow the flow of the trail (marked by small arrows posted 6 ft up on trees) or it can get slightly confusing your first few times, since the trails crisscross it’s easy to get turned around. Approach the downhill drops with caution because sand is used in LOTS of cases to cover up muddy sections. Overall fantastic and fun trails with some cool obstacles, my buddy and I spent 4 hours riding here on a sunny Thursday afternoon and will definitely be returning!
Trail was good. I’m just out of shape. It’s amazing how much skill you loose not being in the saddle for more than a year. I think I did less than half of the trail.
