The south side of the trail is okay but the north side, where it’s more rocky, is basically walking through the woods. There is a small trail but watch for snakes! Definitely had my blood pressure up for half this hike lol

This trail is great! First off, the trail mapped out IS NARROW AND ROCKY. If you follow the loop from the front of the park and around the pond, it’s not stroller worthy. But you can go halfway up the pond and turn left for a different loop that is flat and well maintained. It is gravel so I’m not sure how ADA accessible it is, but our jogging stroller did great on it!

My mom and I did this hike together. It was beautiful, and really felt like you were out in the woods despite being in a local park. The first half of the trail was wide and flat and relatively easy. The second half was pretty uneven, narrow, and had lots of rocks and roots. We loved it, but my mom struggled because of the arthritis in her foot. Her foot was in a lot of pain by the end because of the uneven ground. Otherwise, we loved it.

I bring my kid to Casey park during the summer time. Never walked the trails until today. Perfect hike. Loved watching the wife and daughter run from the snakes.

Great hike around the lake. South side is more narrow and rugged. Saw lots of snakes on both sides.

A little muddy, but it had just snowed. This was a very easy trail! Loved it for some fresh air.

Very small lake that looks deep. You can throw a rock to the other side, but has great views. Really want to go back with a kayak. Nice hike and is easy not moderate.

Great little trail! The south side is wide and wood with great views of the lake on the right. The trip back is a rugged and narrow trail through the woods.

One side nice and flat and wide, the other side narrow and hilly, so a nice variety for such a small park.

Scouting out winter hikes. Super easy flat out from the park, a bit rocky/rooty on the way back. Good snow show trail this winter for sure. Bring the deep snow - will make for a fun 2miler.

Left side of trail is beautiful along a serene, long lake. The return side is much rougher and more of a challenge.

Beautiful hike! If you’re not used to a narrow rocky trail then be aware, but it isn’t especially steep. There are stairs on the initial climb. The easy side is beautiful and lush, it was sprinkling when I took my dog - we were dry under the trees with the water dripping in the lake beside us. Very peaceful. We will be back!

Two radically different hikes/walks in one loop. Definately a crowded park!

hiking portion is very narrow definitely NOT maintained and is covered in posion ivy. Not recommended for small children on the hiking portion past the bridge and stairs.

We took the kids and enjoyed the hike around the small lake. One side of the path was wide open and an easy trek. Once we rounded the end of the lake and passed the house then went up the stairs the trail thinned and being a bit more difficult. Most concerning on the thin part of the trail was the poison ivy on the side of the trail.

could widen the one side of the trail or at least cut the branches and over grown plants

I am 100% out of shape but am working on myself. It also didn't help I was in flip flops. The easy part of the trail is nice and wide go up the stairs to the other side it's very hard at least for me. We ended up turning around to go back to the easy side. But it was definitely beautiful hike! Would do it again!!

Great loop around Lake! I like the rocky Ridge type trail on one side and the easy wide open flat trail on the other. Provides multiple trip options for whatever your feeling that day. Pretty good fishing too. Nice bass and pan fish selection.

We really enjoy hiking both sides of the ore bed trail. Not very difficult but there is some elevation which makes the hike very enjoyable (if you hike at a rapid pace).

Nice year round trail and pretty. My dog and I walk it frequently. She also gets to cool off by jumping in the water and swimming.
