We hiked this trail to the Feldspar Campsite. We were setting up camp here so that the next day we could hike Gray Peak, Mount Skylight, and Mount Marcy and finish at the Adirondack Loj. The hike to the campsite wasn't bad as we got a late start. It took us a little while to get there since we we're carrying fully loaded backpacks for setting camp. The trail had some very nice views as you crossed the Lake Colden bridge.

The best timing to do this hike is in the middle of winter on a sunny day. The view was unforgettable. Just watch out for skiiers.
