Love this trail.. pretty easy trail but 6 months pregnant so it got a little rough for me around the rocky parts and some of the markers were difficult to find but definitely one of my favorites.

First time hiker and I’m a big guy so as I was going I had to rest a bit but overall really not terrible. Decent inclines but well worth it if you’re there after a rainstorm or snowstorm to catch those beautiful waterfalls.

Good quick hike for people of all skill levels. We went right after a heavy rain and the falls were raging! The blue trail is easy to follow with a few nice view points. Ventured off the trail for a bit to examine this abandoned Dodge Colt (wonder what the back story is here!), it’s easily visible at the beginning of the blue trail descent.

Quick little hike that was perfect for a dog coming back from an injury. I wouldn’t necessarily call it moderate for an experienced hiker, but the incline would be challenging if a beginner!

Nice quick hike with intense incline.

Beware! Tick city.

Situated just a short walk from vehicle. Waterfalls were refreshing. The area is set up for picnicking and listening to the Falls was relaxing. Worth the stop to stretch and walk around.

One of my favorite spots!!

I walked the trail both ways. The footing is more sure clock wise but the difficulty is about the same either way. Nice little hike with an adequate challenge.

No waterfall on the Buttermilk Falls Trail. So much for a quick hike and lunch break on the way back from Massachusetts.

Nice trail. Its doable but it is not for first timers. Close to the waterfall (although no water when we were there) it is a very narrow path close to ledge but then it Widens out again. Trail was well marked and lots of rocky patches.

No waterfall, not very secluded.

Trail winds behind homes and has a refrigerator or 2 on it. Falls are dry. Late June. But good ascent and awesome for a 20 min hike.

Hiked all the way up there and the "waterfall" was completely dried out. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a waterfall.

A quick enjoyable hike. It includes a modest waterfall and a decent view from the top. Like many short hikes in heavily populated areas the viewpoint has turned into a litter box of broken glass and beer cans.

A fun time with my family and pooch.

Pretty easy trail but with a steady climb, it took me 35 minutes to get up and back down with no resting. At one point the blue markings are replaced by white markings so that gets a little complicated.

Great hike for my girlfriend who isn't an avid hiker. But she enjoyed it, and opened her up to going more often.

Nice little hike with the kids to get out of the house. Was there on a Saturday and only a few people on the trail midday.

Extend this hike. It is beautiful but way to short.

A decent short hike for a quick trip with the kids. Great beautiful waterfall after rainfall and scenic views

Pretty easy. There is a long trail extends the hike to 3 miles. I saw deer out there. Once you get off blue trail markings are not that great and they are doing construction on the path. You have to cross streets and people backyards if you wanna do the long path. The waterfall was a trickle when I saw it. Does have some nice views of the ramapo mountains. Saw some other people on the trail mostly teenagers. Didn't see any trash so pretty well kept up. Could do better with markings. Basically it's a one and done kinda trail.

Easy trail. Waterfall was running nice the few times I have been there. 1 scenic view at the top of the trail.

Used to be really pretty when I was little but now is a little bare of trees and the waterfall is only running after a very heavy rain. One view point of rockland county.
