A great trail for semi-experienced hikers. The steep rock scrambling (especially in the beginning) can be scary for beginners, but is still manageable. Went on a Saturday morning and it was very crowded.

Did this trail during the work week. It can be a mob scene on the weekends. It's the most intense hike in the Putnam-Westchester area. A lot of scrabbling up rocks. I found it difficult to do with my large dog. Fortunately, there were "easier" routes to avoid rock climbing the dog couldn't do. On the way back, we had to pass through a tunnel along the side of the road. The amplification of noise was horrendous and scared my dog intensely.

Crowded on a beautiful Saturday. Fun rock scramble. Great views from multiple places. Only annoyance was returning to car on busy road.

This hike is hands down prolly the best in NY. So many views I almost wanted to post up and start painting like Picasso no gas. The hike in the beginning is intense for sure a 5 energy is highly recommended, stuffs golden grams good yo. All In all, this trail is no joke.
