Super fun incline on the ridge with great views of the Hudson. After the ridge the hike is more moderate with more rolling hills and fewer inclines

We went on this hike for our first ever hike and it was pretty tough but we pushed through it since we arrived late and beat it before sundown. Now we love to hike and started looking for more trails all thanks to break neck ridge.

Just finished - nice, strenuous hike. Took about 2.5 hrs, with the dog. Very busy on a Sunday. Very nice views on ascent via river side trail, which is mostly steep, up rocks. Would not recommend for people with knee problems, as descent is a long, moderate decline, mostly loose rocks nearer top and packed dirt as you get down to road.
