The Schodack Area Land Trust (S.A.L.T.) is a 57 acre nature preserve, and one of the headwaters for the Moordener Kill. It contains two trails, the blue trail and the red trail. Both trails are very easy, just off the red trail is a bridge over a stream that drains the preserve and eventually feeds into the Hudson.

This is the second time that I have done this area (once in the winter, once in the spring). It's an OK area, not great, but this is nice for kids. Muddy at times.
