Liked this trail a lot on this early spring afternoon. It’s a wide, easy to follow trail. Not crowded at all.
Quiet and peaceful. A very low impact hike with a wide open trail and very very few people.
There are two trails here that intersect at the parking lot. So you can extend another few miles if you want. Flat and easy. Wide - 4feet — trails in most places. Bathrooms closed but there are ports johns. Well marked but not necessary because trail is obvious. Beautiful views at the marsh and Indian landing.
Easy to follow pleasant walk not strenuous great for kids. Must bring bug spray!!!
41 ticks on me, at least 25 on my girlfriend. Not really worth it for the amount of ticks here
very nice trail. was easy to take our stroller for our daughter. we were able to see some osprey nests and some other wildlife. did end up finding a tick on the stroller when we got back to the car, but we were all good. may look into coming back when the visitor center is open and doing the white oak trail as well.
Very nice trail. But mid September the mosquitoes were in packs by the thousands. I know that sounds a bit rough but very true. Bug spray a must. It took away from the day. Bugs are in full force. Will only do this trail in colder months. Plenty of ticks bites also
Amazing trails, very well marked and mostly flat land, some inclines.. Indian landing is a great view of the Carmen's River.. Bring bug spray, lots of bugs!
Black Tupelo Trail at the Wertheim Wildlife Refuge in Brookhaven. Easy out-and-back with loop at the end. World's smallest beach. Saw a few birds. Nice views of the salt marsh.
