Beautiful point to point trail that runs along the Black River, between Black River and Watertown.

Started at the Huntingtonville trail head and walked down to the end in Black River and back. 6.9 miles. Great for biking and rollerblading. Wish people would take care of their dog's crap though.

Not bad... paved, so good for walking, jogging, or road biking. It's clean, so that's nice.

This is my favorite "trail" to run on. The path is paved and wide and the views never get old ! Besides a few small hills on the black river side it is mostly flat. Gorgeous in the fall and spring. In the winter it is not kept up with and can get icy, even if it hasn't snowed for awhile, so just watch out for that. Also bring bug spray if recently rained, by the river it can get quite full of biting bugs ! But this is my favorite path in Watertown !

This is such a great trail for an after or before work bike, jog, walk, or x-c ski in the winter. The river is beautiful, esp. At sunset. And the trail has now been extended! It goes almost the whole way to route 3; I think when they finish it will be linked with the short trail along the river on the Watertown side of rt 3. At this point, I'd say doing the full trail out and back is about 10 miles. Mostly flat, all paved.

Although not a hiking trail, this is fantastic for almost anyone. The whole path is completely paved, making it easy to access for almost anyone, from kids and dogs, to elderly and those in wheelchairs. The path follows the Black River for the full length. We were there in late fall, so it was covered with leaves. I expect that this is a fantastic walk during early fall while all the leaves are changing color.

If you're looking for off road hiking, then this isn't it. If you're looking for a nice easy path to enjoy the outside, then this is a gem.

wonderful for stroller walking bicycling dog walking. the trail is totally paved, with no off-trail hiking. the only downside being people did not clean up after their dogs on the trail.

A beautiful wide paved path along the Black River.
Well traveled by walkers, runners, and bicycle riders. Winding through wooded areas, near corn fields, and across bridges it is a quiet area that is kid and dog friendly.

Having kids with me I just wish there was a bathroom area with garbage receptacle around the half way point of the trail.
Other than that it's a very nice, relaxing walk.

Excellent multi-use trail. That it is well used by the community is a good sign. The trail is a paved-over railroad bed, so it is smooth and level. Winds through meadows, farmland, and woods - along the Black River.
