CampingGreat!

Just beautiful views, medium difficulty as a loop. The first part until the summit was very easy and accessible, the loop down was steeper but had some great views over the lake

absolutely loved it. definitely do the loop. i went up the red trail to the summit and then down through the blue and yellow trails past the ponds. this counterclockwise loop is definitely the right direction to go, once you do it you will understand why. red trail up was Rocky and muddy like everyone said. at first I thought yeah this is pretty rocky but then I came to learn what Rocky really mean. steeper half of the red trail is basically a boulder dotted stream of loose rocks. it was muddy but not too muddy however I don't think there has been significant rain in a few days. if there were, it would probably be so slick that i would wait for a better day. view from the summit is great, but a few hidden lookouts on the way down towards the pond offered even better views. I spent about 40 minutes on the top getting absolutely hammered by wind which was both exciting and somewhat difficult to endure...bring layers. the trip down is like through a whole different world. still very rocky, but much less so. lots of different scenery and the area around the lakes is just serene beyond description. give it a go! counterclockwise!

The trail is nice, but wet and muddy. Have good hiking boots. Trail is not very tough.

Very rocky, lots of roots and muddy trail. I got caught in a rain half way up, after the trail was very slippery

Great view, well worth the hike. First 1.2 miles up is easy and only the last .75 miles are challenging with moderate incline.

Great trail. Very easy and level for the first half but then it gets steep the rest of the way. Makes for a challenging but fun hike! Took my dog and he loved it. About 2 hours to the top and 1.5 down. Cold and windy at the top but beautiful view. Lots of people and dogs on the trail today.

Great hike, pretty easy and quick. Lots of traffic yesterday going up and down the Mtn. The mud wasn’t terrible and is only in a few spots, but there are ways around it to stay clean. Near the summit there’s a huge tree blocking the trail, but again, there’s a way around it.

View is worth the effort. Quite easy for the first half, then the last bit gets a bit steep and more difficult. Manageable by most (I was 7 months pregnant and we had our dog). Footing in areas could be slick- watch your step. Quite muddy but there was a decent downpour for about 20 minutes of the beginning for us.

Great view at top! Relatively easy trail, will be back to do pond loop. Took us about 3.5 hours to hit the summit and get back to the car, not including hanging out at top. Bring your bug spray!
