The first half of the mountain is easy going and makes for a good warm-up for the rest of the climb. The second half is moderate. If you’re hiking in winter, bring poles. The trail is basically a frozen over stream so footing can get slippery. The summit view is outstanding. Good bang for your buck

Hiked this during mid June 2015 and it was a great view of Lake George. Was very muddy as it had rained several days before - was like walking up a creek the entire time. Took about 4 hours with lunch at the top.

Nice easy hike. Beautiful on a fall day

Good hike with gradual ascends. Very manageable.
A bit challenging I. Finding the summit with the beautiful views. There are no real markings that lead you to the views.
We marked a tree with notching if you see you can walk off main path towards the summit.

Pretty easy hike and with a great view at the top with a neat fire tower. Make sure you walk around the fire tower to get the highest view on a big rock. Took us about 2 hours 35 mins to go up and come back down to the car. Couple steep parts and wet but otherwise great hike.
