Beaver River Canoe Route is a 4.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Lowville, New York that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for birding, canoeing, and whitewater kayaking and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Great place for water sports, however... the area the map shows a a put-in point is no longer accessible. The previous owners were kind enough to let people launch from their private beach. The new owners do not allow you to launch from their beach. There is one spot near the damn on the opposite side of the lake that is accessible (ish). You have to carry your boat down a very steep single track trail about 50 meters. We did see signs for another public access spot, but the road to it was gated and locked. This was a nice quite place to kayak and it looks like the locals want to keep it that way.
