Great place to ski or mountain bike. Beginner to intermediate level . Awesome view of Skaneateles lake from yellow 6 trail on east side.

I went snowshoeing on this trail. It was nice time. There was a nice view of Bear Swamp. Trails looked like they were well traveled by cross country skiers. Some areas where you could snowshoe on untouched snow.

Very peaceful with not much foot traffic. Bring bugspray and a compass or GPS. Although trails are clearly marked, lack of use has caused some overgrowth in the swampy areas. Cell service is lackluster at best, don't rely on it. Iowa Rd or Colonial lodge are easiest vehicle jump points.

Biking is really fun here, some pretty strenuous uphills but some very rewarding downhills. Still haven't been on every trail, but also very nice walking trails.
