I loved this trail!!! The caves at the beginning were awesome and fun to climb on. The rest of the hike was tough but beautiful!

Despite all the rain overnight this trail remained reasonably dry. Nice hike.

If you start at the trail head it's a great mild hike up to the caves. The trail is well established and easy to follow. If you are with kids or just feel like doing a quick stop to just see the bear caves you go to the end of the trail on the road and just hike a mile or so back to the bear caves. It's easy to find along the road because most of the time there's multiple cars parked there. But if you enjoy the hike and feeling like you worked your way into the woods to get there i recommend doing the full trail.

Bring a headlamp for the caves, and think skinny!
