Ashford Glen Preserve Trail is a 0.5 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Schenectady, New York that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
The property on Vly Creek, a tributary of the Mohawk River, is a beautiful 11.5 acre glen. The Glen contains a large variety of plants including the following variety of ferns: Christmas, Cinnamon, Interrupted, Lady, New York, Royal, Sensitive, and Wood.

There is no designated parking and this is a residential neighborhood; park on the side of the road near the entrance and be courteous to the residents.
Take Route 7 to Vly Road Take the third right onto Brookhill Road Take immediate right on Cascade Terrace Then left onto Ashford Lane. The preserve entrance is located at 22 Ashford Lane; park along the road.
a pleasant and pretty little walk, perfectly still. Residential though.
