This is a relaxing gentle trail from Long Island's south shore up to and around Belmont Lake. Scenic and relatively flat making for an easy gravel type biking, hiking or walking through scenic woods, creeks and lakes. Southard's Pond is around the midway point. Beautiful trail year-round. Autumn's here is prime time for watching the color of foliage changing. Good bicycling workout without much elevation change. Perfect for mountain bikes or gravel bikes.
