Nice hike, a few scrambles that made it a slightly difficult hike. Pretty low traffic throughout the day.

it was mostly dry, still a very beautful hike though! when the GPS tells you to turn on a road that is closed off and says private property keep driving a bit. you will most likely see cars off the side of the road. there is a trail there.

Well marked, easy to follow trail. The waterfall in first mile is nice ( not breathtaking - but nice). There are fun steps on the side of it. After that the hike is long and unadventurous. 2 really nice scrambles. If you’re an experienced hiker this won’t rock your day, but if you’re looking to train for trail running or you’re a beginner hiker looking for a challenge this trail might be great for you. Not much view, not much scenery change but overall really good workout.

The trail has a beautiful waterfall about 1/2 mile in. I would highly recommend wearing good shoes if you hike beyond the waterfall. There are very rocky parts and there are also steep inclines and declines. We did 9 miles in total. It’s very well marked once you cross over the little stream past the waterfall. We had a little trouble finding where to cross, but finally figured it out. A great workout and nice scenery along the way.

Great trail for beginners and kids! Parked on Lake Rd, followed white trail up and over waterfall and took the blue trail back with some off-trail adventures. Total was 1.5 miles of fun for us and our 5 & 7 year old new hikers. Encountered a few different groups of people who were very respectful of keeping social distancing. Beautiful and fun little adventure. Currently open during the pandemic

Beautiful views and trail was fully intact. The further you go, the more aggressive it gets. We did 3 miles.

We started at the Doris Duke Trail and went to falls and back. A nice 7.5 mile reverse lollipop hike.

HikingMuddy

Dog friendly trail, the waterfall was strong and flowing from the snow melt and rain we’ve had over the last week or so. Because of this some areas were muddy but they weren’t too slippery and were easy to maneuver around. On nice days I would recommend getting there before 12/1 o’clock before the rush of Instagram hikers. Overall a nice, easy hike, would recommend.

Nice kid-friendly hike to the waterfall. Park on Lakes Road in Monroe, near the border of Greenwood Lake. The falls are very pretty and you can climb to the top.

Falls were half iced up. Pleasant hike down to the first road crossing. Next section had a few rocky scrambles which were fun (one climb was all ice). The stream feeding Little Dam Lake was flooded, had to turn back there. Over the top views aren't really there, but enjoyed the hike anyway.

We turned this into an "easy" rated hike by just doing the first half mile or so, going only as far as Fitzgerald Falls and then returning. We parked on the shoulder of Lakes Road at the trailhead and it was an easy, beautiful walk through the snow to the falls.
