Great hike, took homestead trail to the 10 mile shelter then caught the AT north to get back to vehicle. Bring an extra gaterade for the thankful thru hiker and keep an eye out for the crazy Kayaker's paddling this stretch also.

Not really sure why this is rated as easy, I would consider it to be moderate. It's beautiful by the river, one of my favorite spots I've ever hiked. After you cross ten-mile river it becomes much more difficult but worth the trip to the top.

Great and beautiful hike. We hiked from Bull Bridge to the Housatonic overlook which was about 1000 ft in elevation gain and 8 miles out and back. It was worth it! I would love to go back in the fall when all the trees have changed colors.
