Allegheny Reservoir is a 14.5 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Corydon Twp, Pennsylvania that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for birding, canoeing, and whitewater kayaking and is best used from April until October.
We paddled for a couple of hours from the Friends Boat Launch just outside of the Quaker entrance to Allegany State Park. Just down stream of the Quaker Lake Dam it is a very nice paddle. Out on the reservoir it is pleasant and scenic, but wide open paddling. You should have comfort with paddling in a variety of conditions.
