Fun hike! After crossing three little streams right at the beginning of the hike (it rained for several days about a week ago) the conditions were fantastic. Not muddy at all. Just went up to accra point then turned back. Quick and easy.

Very muddy and still some difficult ice headed up to black dome. Full review will be on Roulette-travel.com

One of my favorite trails in the area. Super scenic, woodsy, mossy, and along beautiful streams and small falls. We went after a big rain, so some crossings were a little deep, but manageable with good boots. We started from the parking lot following red blazes, but you have to cross over a small bridge to yellow blazes after about .75 mi to stay on track to the lean-to and Acra Point. We didn’t realize that so had to double back, but it wasn’t too bad. Had two small dogs with us and they loved it. I’m a #chubbyhiker and thought this was a lovely, moderate hike. A few inclines that got my heart up, but not much. Only saw two other small groups on the trail. Very peaceful.

It is a great trail to go with kids. My 9 and 10 years old enjoyed some veriety. We did counterclockwise, and finished within 3 hours.

Great trail with a few excellent views. The best vista is just to the east of the summit of Black Dome. There was some recent blowdown but trail crews had already cleared most of it.

First mile of the hike was beautiful along a stream - be mindful that you don’t accidentally end up taking the wrong trail (much more steep!). Would recommend it to anyone in the area; beautiful drive in too!

Beautiful fall leaves in mid October. Also went left on the blue trail to go up burnt knob. Nice view points!

We did the full loop and really enjoyed it. Took about 3.5 hours with a 20 min lunch stop. Acra point was not marked but we think it was a pretty overgrown view.

Nice hike but to do a "loop" it's more like 6.5 miles which is fine Micro spikes were a must have on 3/5 Did a lot of Creek crossing which was a bit scary

Great moderate hike. The foliage was beautiful and the terrain changed every few hundred feet. The look out was nice. We only traveling 3 miles out on the train and turned around. I'd go back!

a moderate hike to a wonderful viewpoint. Starting at the blackhead Mountain trailheadit's a mile up to the cul where you take a right to go one half mile to Acra point, with only two easy shelf formations. You can also take a left at the cul to go the same distance to another fantastic viewpoint on burnt knob. Great on its own or as a warm-up for more advanced hikes. I've also snowshoed it numerous times for great workout. I won't fill in the date because I typed it probably 10 to 15 times.
