Nice hike but to do a "loop" it's more like 6.5 miles which is fine
Micro spikes were a must have on 3/5
Did a lot of Creek crossing which was a bit scary
Very nice -Borat
Great moderate hike. The foliage was beautiful and the terrain changed every few hundred feet. The look out was nice. We only traveling 3 miles out on the train and turned around. I'd go back!
a moderate hike to a wonderful viewpoint. Starting at the blackhead Mountain trailheadit's a mile up to the cul where you take a right to go one half mile to Acra point, with only two easy shelf formations.
You can also take a left at the cul to go the same distance to another fantastic viewpoint on burnt knob.
Great on its own or as a warm-up for more advanced hikes.
I've also snowshoed it numerous times for great workout.
I won't fill in the date because I typed it probably 10 to 15 times.
Ideal spot in the Catskills. Climbed Blackhead, Black Dome and Thomas Cole mtns.
Very nice hike with great views.
