WalkingGreat!

There were so many neat little off shoot trails, we hope to go back & explore! This trail was easily marked, not too rough & easy to turn back if you feel like you need to.

Fun! a quick in and out, and our 3yr olds first hike without riding the back pack lol. He did great! It had some bugs and it’s a bit overgrown but an awesome time and lots of small stream/river crossing fun.

Great trail for little legs. The kids had a great time looking for lizards and birds. They also played in the stream about .5 miles into the trail. The beginning there is no tree cover and then you get some shade a little ways down the trail.

Do you feel like being outside and take it easy? But still awake to look at the beauty of nature, plants, flowers and birds. Then this is an easy hike, close to the centre of Santa Fe.

Nice and easy hike for little kids. We got there early (before 8 am) and did not see anyone except some small birds on the hike.

Super fun and short trail, perfect for children. We encountered swallows, birds of prey, and two snakes across our path.

Easy simple trail. Saw beaver lodges but no beavers. Would be pretty with more leaves/flowers. Worth trying again in May/June

We had to turn back as a section along the wall appeared to have been filled in by rocks. No protection from falling. Probably OK for athletic person. Signs need repair as well. Still, a beautiful area. Sadly, the beaver are long gone.

Rhiannon and I enjoyed it. Nothing dangerous. Easy for kids, not that we have any, yet. Saw a dozen or so people. Conditions were great.

Nature trips

Lovely, ethereal colors against an electric blue sky! A fairyland of color, line and texture if you pause and look! Great place to get your nature therapy without having to strain, exert and prove oneself.

This was a nice little hike. Overgrown some where it got confusing at times. But, it was easy and has good sceneries.

Nice relaxing hike, took about an hour and a half. Great for families and kids. Pretty views at the pond and open spaces and also from high up on the trail looking down the canyon. I went in October so there was some fall color and it was 72 degrees out.

HikingMuddy

Went to hike this the other day but it is closed due to mud at the eastern end of the trail. If you feel daring of course you can hike it, but it is not as well maintained as I would have expected due, I'm sure, to it being technically closed.

Compared to some of the hikes that we do, this was a walk in the park.....except for the icy ground. Good for all ages but more of a nature walk.

Great trail - good views and easy access. We took the kiddos and parts of the trails are a little narrow and exposed to steep drops, otherwise the perfect family hike.

Easy trail and the signage is good but at the end it is confusing about how to get back to the parking lot. I would do it again and it was beautiful with all the colors changing
