The Inscription Trail is a 0.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Ramah, New Mexico that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round.
Marked trails are open Wednesday - Sunday. Please check here for updates: https://www.nps.gov/elmo/index.htm The Inscription trail is a must–see! If you only have an hour or less, you will definitely want to take the trail to the pool and past hundreds of Spanish and Anglo inscriptions, as well as pre–historical petroglyphs. The trail is paved and is wheelchair accessible with assistance. The slope is estimated to exceed 12% grade up and downhill.
Plenty of parking and there is a visitor center and a small campground.

Short and easy. Paved the whole way. Awesome history! You can’t go into the visitor center right now cause of COVID but they have someone by the main doors to talk to you and explain everything. Along the route they have laminated papers explaining the history
