Are you able to still access the tent rocks and if so which road in is open to take?

Hot and little shade to be found but the trail is absolutely stunning. Pretty much straight up at the end to get to the overlook, but it is more than worth the effort.

This whole area is probably a tourist destination as well so I imagine it could be too crowded, but it is quite something not to be missed. Trail is all uphill and gets narrow but it’s beautiful and the part thru the canyon similar to Antelope Canyon at the Grand Canyon is worth the the day. Views from the top are really something to see.

I’ve hiked this trail about three times. Always so beautiful anytime of year. I love this place.

If you go and are able, take the slot canyon portion of the trail. The main loop isn’t anything special, but the slot canyon portion is fantastic!

We went the last week of December. Extremely cool hike, the tent rocks are so cool to see. Trail is pretty busy so it is kinda tight in the slot canyon. I recommend anyone who is nearby to see this place. Don’t listen to anyone that tells you not to go to the top, go to the top, great views.

Freaking awesome! One of the coolest places I have ever been and will bring my mom back with me on our Route 66 road trip in the summer. Take water as it gets hot in July. Spectacular viewing point from the top and amazing views of rock formations all the way up. Best $5 I’ve ever spent. I got there early to avoid crowds but it was picking up and pretty busy when I was leaving early afternoon.

Great hike. Get there early. Apparently parking fills up in high season.

One of the most fun hikes I’ve ever done! Beware that the rangers start to clear people from the top at 3:30 pm. At 3 pm at the top they stop letting people walk out to a viewing plateau.

Beautiful hike. Recording showed 3.7mi (almost a full mile longer than listed!) and 900ft gain. Slot canyons are really something special. First 0.5 miles has a very slight slope with little/no shade. From there on up it gets progressively steeper and rockier. After you go through the narrowest part of the canyon it’s quite a climb for about 0.4 miles. Views at the top are fantastic and the geological features all the way up are great. We took our 5 and 7 year olds who managed well but it was just about at their limit. Bring plenty of water!

Cette randonnée est extraordinaire. Des points de vue exceptionnels en plus du plaisir de marcher dans les slots canyon. Je recommande chaudement. Nous ne pouvons pas accepter au sommet passé 15:30. Un garde retourne les randonneurs.

Very mellow trail to start. Trail through the slot canyon is gorgeous but rocky and involves some scrambling up rocks. 600ft incline near the viewpoint is rough but worth it for the views. Didn’t make it to the cave on the second half of the loop because we ran out of gas. Would recommend for all skill level hikers
