Great day. Yet many many out there. Good trail - yet lots of loose gravel and can be risky in some places for a good fall on your nalgas! Some masks some none. Good place for those who like a populated trail. :).

This trail is not marked very well and there also splits in the trail so leave a marker when your hiking back. Other than that beautiful scenery and very moderate.

Amazing, and easy to do. Last 20 feet require a small scramble to get a panoramic view of the false summit.

Gradual uphill. Took a cool spur about 1/2 mile from start of trailhead but had some downed trees so turned around. Tried Rincon spur at top but had pack so turned around at a big boulder I didn’t want to climb over. Great panos of city higher up and top

Consistent moderate climb to the end of the trail. Multiple 360 degree lookouts near the top of the trail. If you start at first light, the views are dramatic in the morning light on the way back down. Finished at 8:15am.

Great trail, consistently good views all around, the last scramble up at the top to climb the rocks is worth it for the 360 fantastic view. Moderately to heavily trafficked so come early. Parking is free but can get packed.

Beautiful trail that is well kept up! I was the first on the trail in the morning at 6:15 am and I got to the end just on time to see the end of the sun rise. The views were amazing as well! Will definitely do again!

We did this trail on 6/28/20 starting at around 11:30am. Lot was packed when we got there. Reached the top by 1pm and then another hour and a half back down. I would rate this as more difficult than moderate. There is a steady elevation gain almost the entire way up, around 1300 ft. While there is *some* shade from the trees, you are still quite exposed so wear sunscreen, a hat, bring plenty of water. I drank a full 1.5 liter. I would recommend bug spray next time, lots of gnats. Nice views, nothing breathtaking (compared to the east side of the Sandias). Beautiful vegetation & cactus, lizards. Initially was planning for the Piedra Trail #135 to waterfall but had missed the turn.

Well-maintained trail. A little bit tougher with the elevation gain for newer hikers but the view at the end was worth it.

My favorite trail here. No bikes, moderate traffic, shade for most of the hike, and a little elevation to get the heart rate up

Beautiful trail! Views from the beginning, all the way through to the end. Fairly moderate trail but the incline is consistent for the majority of the hike. Once you arrive at the top you’ll get an amazing view of both the eastern and western sides of the mountain. The trails are smooth so the way down is nice and easy on the knees lol. Definitely do this one!

Great hike, relatively moderate until you split off of piedra Lisa. Then it becomes much more difficult. Scrambling at the top but well worth it!

Beautiful trail with views from start to finish. We are just getting back into hiking and this hike was challenging! We arrived around 8 on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy at all. I do suggest getting out early as it was very warm by the time we finished.

Great trail. It is very narrow and a little tough to social distance but everyone is pretty respectful of your space. No one is wearing masks though.
