The trail is fun, there's a cool spiral staircase to get up to the cave. The road to get to the trailhead is VERY rough - you can make it in a car but it will be slow going.

Super easy. Was beautiful and green on that side of the mountain, just wish it was longer or at least another trail similar close by.

Easy and fun hike. Plenty of shade from the trees and the cave makes a great extra for kids to explore.

The drive in was beautiful! We came in from Cedar Crest lots of people out and enjoying the stream. Saw some deer. I was afraid the road was going to be terrible NY reading other reviews it was not that bad. we saw lots of cars. it is rocky in some spots and there are some ruts but I wouldn't be afraid to take a car on it. The trail was easy. It was narrow in some spots which was nerve racking with littles. The views though were amazing and worth the climb. The staircase was a fun touch and the cave was awesome especially for the kids. The dust is awful so bring masks and flashlights. If you're not claustrophobic or afraid to get dirty you can go pretty far back.

This trail is really short and easy, but totally worth it. At the end is a metal spiral staircase that leads up to a catwalk that goes into the caves. It’s a little nerve wracking to be up on the catwalk, but the views more than make up for it. Keep in mind that the road leading to the trailhead is extremely rocky and not the best for passenger cars. And if you want to explore deeper into the caves be sure to bring a flashlight!

Found this trail by accident and loved it! Someone told me you can go 1/2 mile into the cave.

Little over a half mile from parking to the cave. Make sure you take a dust mask if you go over the half wall.know your physical limitations in the cave. My son and I had a blast.

We had a great afternoon of hiking and exploring the cave. It was a great experience. We didn't go prepared so we had no flashlights except our phones, no water and no clue of what to expect. We spent about 30-45 minutes in the cave and there were quite a few people we meet on their way out. It was cool. It was fun and it was not too difficult besides some squatting and crawling in some tight spots. Definitely a must do.

Very short and easy hike. At the end, there is a spiral staircase that leads into the cave. There are some nice views as you come close to the end as well. I would like to mention though, that the drive there is about 3 miles on a very rough gravel road- so just be prepared for that! It's kinda out there. Very nice though!

Awesome experience and not difficult... quick easy trip of about a mile and a half total round trip. We did it with a three year old in less than an hour with her walking all the way out and some of the way back. The Cave is more than we expected, and goes back quite a ways... It has a tight spiral staircase to get to the entrance. I recommend not going past the wall inside. There is a somewhat sketchy looking rock hanging from the ceiling beyond the wall... wouldn't want to be the guy under that when it gave up. If you want to see back into the cave bring a bright flashlight, because your cell phone light won't cut it! Great trip all around!

It's not at all about the trail for me! The cave was awesome! There were good views and some good photos were taken, but the cave was great, we went back pretty far, plan to go back better prepared.. maybe with a canary! ;)

Very well marked and easy to access. The last mile of the dirt road is a little bumpy. You just need to go slow, it's not to rocky. Nice easy hike up to the cave. You can get in the cave just unhook the latch at the top of the stairs. We then hiked a little further up a small trail behind the parking lot to give our dogs more exercise. It was a little more challenging but not to difficult. The views were amazing. Great hike for the whole family.

Nice easy trail for a quick hike. The cave entrance is now blocked off with a gate but it is still a decent walk.
