This trail begins at the Springtime Campground and ends at San Mateo Peak.

Great trail with good views at the top. Water is very limited right now so would plan accordingly if you are going to backpack in. It is definitely a lot of work with all the uphill. If you are looking to get away from the crowds the Apache Kid Wilderness is a great spot.

This is a tough hike. Especially the first 2 miles or so... Quite a few switchbacks but not terrible. Nice views.
