This trail is relatively close to Albuquerque (1hr 15min to trailhead) and is not used much during the summer and not at all during the winter. San Pedro Parks is a small wilderness area located in the Santa Fe National Forest. It's unique in that there are no major peaks or cliffs or steep parts. When you arrive at the center of the park it is beautiful mixtures of open meadows and thick woods.

Great hike for kids and dogs. The trail both ways is easy, nothing very steep. The scene as the trail opens to the lake is gorgeous. During our trip the area featured a group of cows both in the meadow and down by the lake, which was an extra treat for the kids.

A nice easy trail especially since it was the second we had done that day. Always good to get to see a remote lake.

This trail is short, but beautiful. It’s an easy going flat trail through the San Pedro Wilderness that leads to the lake. The dogs loved it.

Easy hike with great views. The reservoir itself is busy but if you hike past it it’s a more moderate level hike with great views of the reservoir.
