Nice secluded moderate hike. Once you get to the Pipeline road go extra .5 miles for nice view of Los Alamos canyon and distant mountains. Aspens very pretty in fall. Extremely windy the day we were there.

Gradual slope and really nice views of the town and surrounding mountains. For even better scenery, keep walking higher up on the pipeline trail to go farther along the ridge.

The hike was great, uphill but not that bad. Was a little windy so a headband can help.Great views, loved it.

Easy yet graded trail. We took the kids but suggest staying away from the cliff side of the trail for safety. There were a lot of hummingbirds playing/chasing with each other and beautiful wild flowers. Make sure to use a trail map as there are a lot of rock/boulder portions of the trail and you could veer off. Agree with other reviewer to come back down pipeline.

Trailhead is actually at the large water tank off Trinity Drive. I suggest staying on the trails at the edge of the canyon and returning via pipeline road, circling the old burned area. Good views of Los Alamos and the mountains to the east from the Sandias to the Sangre de Cristos north of Taos..
